1. Fit the halves together, the top half (with lid opening) overlapping the bottom half. Line up the bolt holes and the arrows located on the edge of each sphere half.

2. Place one washer on each bolt. Insert a bolt into nine of the ten holes, placing the bolt head and washer on the outside of the Bio-Orb®.

3. While reaching inside the Bio-Orb® through the lid opening, screw a wing nut onto each bolt. Tighten the wing nut; however, do not over-tighten.

4. Assemble the final bolt, washer, retaining plate and wing nut through the last remaining bolt-hole in the Bio-Orb® as shown below. Tighten the wing nut (be careful not to over-tighten).

5. Place the lid in the lid opening and give it a firm push to keep it from falling off when rolling the Bio-Orb®. (Note: If you find it difficult to remove the lid by hand, carefully pry the lid of using a flat tip screwdriver)

6. A rope or wire can be inserted through the loop of the retaining plate and used to tether your empty Bio-Orb® in the event of unfavorable weather conditions. When used on a hill, the Bio-Orb® must be tethered. This will keep your Bio-Orb® in one location and prevent unsupervised or accidental rolling.
